The scripting felt like lighting-in-a-bottle for this one. I was tasked with writing and directing a commercial for their upcoming annual event. They sent me 100 short video clips of members describing what the organization means to them. I took the best moments and phrases from those clips to write this 60-second monologue. All of the actors in the video are actual SACNAS members with no on-camera experience, and their authenticity is as real as it gets.
